Robert Reams, Director of the Tallapoosa County Ag Center

Robers is a graduate of Horseshoe Bend High School. Earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from Jacksonville State University and a Master’s Degree in Education from Auburn University in Montgomery.  


Before becoming the Tallapoosa County Ag Center Director, Robert spent 32 years in the fitness industry, including roles with Jacksonville State University Men’s Basketball, East Alabama Medical Center, and Russell Medical Center. 

 

Robert and his wife, Kathryn, own a horse farm near Alexander City and have three children: Lake, Luke, and Allie.


Robert has served as President of the East Alabama Horseman’s Association since 2024, is a board member of the Alex City Horse Riding Club, and serves as an announcer for the Alabama Open Horseman’s Association. Robert was also crowned the 2023 Alabama Open Horseman’s Association Racking Trail Pleasure State Champion.
